A golfer who is sufficiently flexible will have the horizontal brace parallel to the ground (as shown in the photo here).

The ROTATIX lettering can therefore be read parallel to the ground. If this is not the case for you, the stretch is missing.

Hip rotation is initiated by pushing off the floor with the right foot

Arms follow -> left arm stays straight / right arm bends

right elbow close to hip

You grip the ROTATIX with your right hand on the foam handle. The index and middle fingers of the left hand are hooked into the adjustable Velcro loop. The left elbow bent 90 degrees - sits firmly supported in the padded angle.

The right arm is straight, as in the set-up with a golf club
